Re: Terry Pratchett
I've been reading Sir PTerry since I was 15. Which means I've been reading his books since before you were born. I have all but the last 2 books of his. The latest UU book and "I shall wear midnight" are the two I haven't got, mainly due to lack of funds.
I was upset to learn of his early onset Alzheimer's but I was also (rather selfishly) relieved to learn that he could and would still write Discworld books.
My favourites have to be Small Gods, Reaper Man, and Hogfather. And the Tiffany Aching books are sooo good.

Unseen academicals is a great book, row... definitely worth picking up.
I shall wear midnight is ok, good TA book, but not as good as wintersmith.

I, too, have almost all of his books. I don't have any of the Tiffany Aching books, though.
Also, if anyone has not yet read Nation, it is phenomenal.

Yep, I'm the biggest Pratchett fan here.
I've been reading Pratchett since I was 9. Favourite book is Nightwatch, favourite characters are Vimes & Vetinari.
I was a little disappointed with Unseen Academicals - the characters were decent, but the story wasn't very strong. What I did like was it continued the theme of the protagonists getting old. Granny Weatherwax, Ridcully, Vimes and now Vetinari are all showing their age - they're slowing down, having difficulties with memories and thought processes, feeling twinges that they never used to...
I like the way their successors are being earmarked (Tiffany Aching for Granny, Stibbons for Ridcully, Angua/Carrot for Vimes and Moist for Vetinari), but I'll be pleasantly surprised if he throws some more curveballs.

Oh yeah? I've been reading Pratchett since before he started writing! I'm his biggest fan in the whole-wide universe!
