Krewmembers meet up potential?

Alright... I know this subject has arisen many times, and never really came to fruition, so I was thinking maybe now would be a good time to let all of you throw out some ideas for a krewmembers meet up possibly some time next year.


So... anyone with some ideas, get them in here and let's see what everybody thinks.


Would you guys be up for all meeting up in one place for a weekend or something, and having a good time?


Gimme potential locations... potential activities... any possible idea you think could make this work. I'm interested in hearing it.

I say we should all go on a cruise and scare the other vacationers.

Scaring vacationers is always fun.

I got my passport a couple of years ago, but have yet to use it, so something overseas might be fun, too.

Only possible issue for me is that by then I will be on my first year of a new job (don't have one yet, but by next year sometime, I better), so may not be able to do more than a week.

Cruises can be pretty expensive, though, and none of us are exactly swimming in money. I'm not adverse to the idea, though.

Depends on the time & location (hey, anyone think London's a good idea?), but Vamp and I might be up for it.

the thing about both cruises and disneyworld... They allow you to make payments

My wife and I are doing an Alaskan Cruise next year for our 20th. Not sure I would have time for more vacation. Maybe in 2012 we could look at an Ireland Cruise. Those seemed to be pretty reasonable.

I know I am doing a week in New Orleans in 2012, but that is writer-stuff, so not much for social time.

How about we all just crash the wedding?

i don't see us ever being able to afford a cruise, but we're more centrally located than we used to be so perhaps if there's a camping trip or something equally somewhat pocket friendly we could try.

You know, I completely forgot about the Olympics. Have they started on the facilities for it yet, or is it looking to wind up like the Commonwealth Games?

They started ages ago, but there's no faith in it being done on time or to a decent standard. I'm guessing it's going to be a national embarrassment, and I think the Commonwealth Games are a sneak preview of things to come.

Aside from the world ending there is no way that bar or I can get the time off... It's the start of the fall semester and that is a no go on vacation time. The best time for us is Oct-Nov, Winter break time, and feb.

The problem is, those are pretty bad travel times, due to weather and holiday travel. Hmm.
