I have a day off!

The reason? Only the rarest of events for those of us living in South Carolina...



That's not it, though. We had snow on Christmas Day as well, so this is the Ultra-rare 2nd snow this winter.

You have the day off because of an inch of snow? Okay, make that 3 inches. Hrmph. Pansies.

We had 3 snow days in a row in mid December, but that was because London (the city where our school board is located) had over 3 feet of snow dumped on it in a 48 hour period.

*walks off grumbling about sissy southerners*

Yeah, as I said, it is extremely rare to get snow twice in one year (well, one winter). It's rare enough to get snow once and have it stick. The forecast is 4-8 inches, which is a bunch for us.

Come down here during the summer when we're averaging 95 degrees (that's 35C) with high humidity and we'll see who the wimps are.

We've got some snow going on here. It's just enough to eff up the roads to the point that my sweetie doesn't feel comfortable making the hour long drive to Pueblo so I can go to the whole food store and stuff Way to screw up my day snow!

Maybe tomorrow, but who the heck knows. I usually like snow, but this is annoying, lol!

aaaaaand work was just canceled for tomorrow, too.

Um....we had a heat wave so bad up here that several "cooling" centres were opened to help alleviate and prevent heat stroke for seniors and children. My hair went from down past my waist to a one inch crew cut because I had a heat rash on my neck and shoulders. Mind you, living in Southwestern Ontario, we're surrounded on 2 of three sides by the Great Lakes. That means 90-100% humidity from June to September. blech.

However, after I watched CNN, I realized I was being unfair to you, because you had the added wrinkle of freezing rain and ice. All bets are off when you add ice to the mix. Enjoy your days off GS.

You still suck

Considering that I have been stuck inside for 5 days due to the massive quantities of ice, I am not really that lucky. Sure, i could go somewhere, but after the freezing rain turned the 5 inches of snow into pure ice, it's been a bit treacherous out. Hopefully, with the sun out today, it will all melt and I'll be able to actually do something.

Go find a steep hill and take videos of cars sliding their way down. Then post the videos on youtube.
