For the Digital book readers
Here are some places for free digital books that I abuse
Limited time new free books for the Kindle reader
Classic books for the Kindle reader
Free eBooks
Project Gutenberg
A slightly evil software but good if you wish to read your own documents as a book or create an eBook yourself eCub

Re: For the Digital book readers
Thank you!
I've decided to get a Kobo reader (yeah yeah yeah, it's a cheap eReader) and I needed a way to convert .txt files to ePub format.
Of course, I don't know WHEN I'll get the reader....but we'll see.

I was actually looking into getting a kobo reader before I got an iPad. They do look very promising for the price they are.RowanFalar wrote:Thank you!

Bought a Kindle a month or so ago. Great purchase, I recommend it to all.

We're so far behind on certain bills that it's damn unlikely I'll be getting any eBook reader until they really come down in price.

I'm with you there. I'd LOVE a kindle, or some reasonable facsimile thereof, but no way at the moment.

Re: For the Digital book readers
What I like about the Kobo reader is that there isn't ANY way that the book can be erased remotely from my eReader, like with Kindle.
I was going to have a blowout 40th birthday party, requesting Staples.ca gift cards. That would have been (hopefully) enough to afford an eReader. But with Mom falling ill the civic holiday weekend, I couldn't face a party she couldn't be at.
