9 more days!
...until I can stop busting my ass at Food Lion. I still don't ship out until March but I'll be soooooooooooooooooo happy when I can just stop working for a bit and have a nice month off to spend with friends and family. That being said I am f'ing ECSTATIC that my ship date is so close. This is everything I've worked so hard for over the past 7 months.
...is it March yet? *bounces*

Oh dear god, Food Lion. I used to do phone support for them. Yeah the sooner you get out of there, the better.

It's a grocery store and a struggling one at that. Almost universally it is the worst supermarket in any town.

Re: 9 more days!
Pretty much. And I work in the Distribution Center. All I do from 9:30PM till whenever the cases are done is pick cases and stack them on pallets to be shipped to stores. It's long, back-breaking hours, there's the potential of death and dismemberment, I work with trifling, ghetto people, and I'm almost positive that at least 2 of my supervisors are racist towards white people.

Re: 9 more days!
This is what I am getting. I had a lap top for the last 6 years and it's been great but now it is time for me to upgrade to the alienware desktop. I am still debating on her name.

Placenta the Desktop.
And no matter what you may call it out loud, it will always be Placenta at the back of your mind.
- Spoiler:
- Placenta.

Re: 9 more days!
Sounds like you're going to have a lot of fun with Placenta. What kind of specs will Placenta have?

Re: 9 more days!
Nice. I thought about getting an alienware desktop, but ended up getting the M15x. It was due to a combination of unsure space and a desire to compute whilst in bed/on the sofa.

Re: 9 more days!
Maybe you could get another one like Placenta for when Vampy arrives. (I almost wrote "comes" there, but it'd get waaaay too expensive to buy a new system everytime that happened)

Re: 9 more days!
She'll be here in 5 days, I don't have that kind of time to order a Placenta like Maron's.General Specific wrote:Maybe you could get another one like Placenta for when Vampy arrives. (I almost wrote "comes" there, but it'd get waaaay too expensive to buy a new system everytime that happened)
Instead I've bought her a dryer for her womanly duties.
I'm debating whether or not to save it for Valentine's Day, but how will she dry my clothes in the meantime?

Countdown update: 0 more days!
Yeah so the order was handed down from the wife that I was still killing myself at my job so after crunching the numbers she determined that with her tax return we would still have enough money to move her up to Illinois with her sister. As such she ordered me to stay home tonight and to call them to let them know I quit early. If I didn't quit she said she'd show up with her other sister and start raising hell.
SO! No more work at that horrible place! HOOOOOORAAAAAAAY! *hands out party hats, throws streamers and confetti*

Congrats, man
I know the feeling of finally leaving a crappy, deadend job. Quite liberating, isn't it

Congrats on getting the hell out of there.
On the downside, you missed the chance to leave Nostalgia Critic style.

Ha! That is priceless! Personally, I would've been more inclined to pull a Half-Baked quit but that's just me.
