The Quiet Man
Ahhh.. St. Pats once again, a time to gorge on corned beef n' cabbage, beer and of course watch Darby O' Gill and the little people as well as the Quiet Man.
Anyone here ever seen the Quiet Man?
I've always loved that movie, hard as heck to get a DvD copy and I hear it's a poor quality one at that.

Never seen it... Am I a bad person? XD
I love corned beef and cabbage so much, best part of St. Paddy's! I'm actually partially Irish on my mother's side

I do like how Americans care about St Paddy's Day so much more than actual Irish people.

Re: The Quiet Man
It's an excuse to drink, that's all I can think of. Americans seem to think that any holiday is fair game as long as there's the possibility of drinking involved. St. Paddy's? Green Beer! Cinco de Mayo? Tequila and Margaritas! And so on.
Besides, we're some of the most holiday obsessed people. It really gets ridiculous.

See, now you're getting it! Although as far as the Ides of March, you're actually behind. We started merchandising back in October...
Ides of March cards, candy, clothing, beer coozies, matchbooks... Can't have a proper holiday without extensive merchandising!

Sure. If we do that, we might as well celebrate the national days of Lilliput, Freedonia and Narnia.RowanFalar wrote:How about Canada Day?!?

I would be HAPPY to celebrate the national days the countries where Dr. Martha Jones and Lucy Pevensie are from!
Lilliput? Well, they can have a national "hour", considering their size.
