Full Persian or Roundmaille for the grip, simple 1-1 chain for the lashes.
If you think that's a bit extreme, on TRL's forums, there was a woman who made her own 'toys' for herself and her girlfriend using various weaves and a non-toxic variety of plasti-dip.

Actually, I don't think it's "extreme". but I doubt I could ever use something like that safely. What size rings do you use for the roundmail to give it rigidity?

Anything with an AR under 4 should be fairly rigid. 16ga 3/16" might be tough to work with, but should give you the result you're looking for.

yeah, well, I'm not gonna be doing that. My hand strength is non-existent, at least for anything higher than 18 g SS.
This is what I've been doing:

Re: Hullo
Really impressed, Ro. I have the opposite problem - I usually work with 14ga BA and 14ga Bronze, and anything smaller than 18ga AA feels too small and flimsy so that I can't really work with it.

Yep. I knit, crochet, Xstitch, and make chainmaille. I'm selling the chain mail and the stitch markers. I still need to figure out a logo for the business, but I'm not that talented.

I find that after I've worked in 18g (usually Bright & Anodized Aluminum) the 20g is much easier.

Re: Hullo
dude, how awesome would a scottish werewolf be?
all red fur and still wearing a skirt? uh.. kilt?
bottle of booze tucked under the sash, Haggis on the breath.
..huh.. y'know.. when you think about it.. that's really not very different from the description of your average scotsman.
