My stupid shoulder...

I think I pinched a nerve somewhere because I now have a hand sized numb spot on my back/shoulder.

Numb might not be the right term. I can't feel touch but I can apparently feel itching and pain. And the thing is, when you itch somewhere that you can't feel scratching you're pretty well screwed...

If I move wrong it feels like someone is jamming a red hot poker into my shoulder and I haven't quite figured out what moving wrong entails exactly so it's kinda hard to avoid doing it.

Blah. I probably need a massage from my massage therapist (way too broke to even consider it) or a visit to a chiropractor (insurance won't cover it and again way too broke) *Sigh*

It may be that you need to stretch the muscles there. I know that the "Knitting for Dummies" book has a great section on exercises to stretch out your upper back, neck and arms to prevent RSIs.

I'll see if I can't find the exercises online for you.
