The pick-me up thread

I thought a thread where we can post good things happening in our lives might be fun and may just provide a lift for those of us going through some difficulties.

For example, this week is spring break for the school district I now work for, so I am off all week. Usually, I would have lazed around and done nothing, but something got into me yesterday and I went through and cleaned out my closet. A whole bunch of clothes that I no longer wear and in some cases didn't know I even still had were pulled out and dusted off.
Today, I took 4 big, black trash bags full of the clothes that no longer fit down to the local thrift store and donated them. Also threw out another big, black trash bag of clothes that were too ratty or otherwise gross (read: old undies).

Also, just today, I stopped by the bank and got pre-approval for a home loan. It is my hope that sometime in the near future, I will be posting from my own house. I'll let you guys know when that happens, so we can finally have the Krewbecue (that name just came to me) we've always wanted.


So, everyone else, what good things have happened to you? Good dentist visit? Get married? Bought a rare comic book for a fraction of it's true worth? Had that ugly wart finally removed (you are a witch, after all, Willow )?

Sitting in the airport waiting for the flight that's taking me to see my mama for a whole 2 weeks AND I got to bring both my boys with me for a change, so excited

Hmm, did I mention I have 2 weeks paid vacation going on right now? <3

This past Saturday, my band played out second (and best) show ever.

Yesterday, my roommate and I started a workout program called Insanity. If we can survive an intense workout six days a week for two months, we should get pretty darn sexy.

All I did was accept the challenge. I didn't say I would accomplish anything today. In fact, we may have to wait many years. Only time will tell.

Additionally, I had a date tonight. It was just meeting for supper, but I think it went really well. We got along pretty well. I'm not getting my hopes up really high just yet, but it's promising.

I passed all of my Indoc inspections and by Monday I'll be in Phase III Liberty status (get to wear civvies, go off base, etc.)! Can't wait! Plus I noticed I have the beginnings of a six-pack!

...it's under the extra skin but damn it, it's there!

I've lost 18 pounds since the last time I knew what my weight was

Back down to my smallest weight since I've been up here in Colorado (MIGHT be my smallest adult weight, I don't think I've been in a smaller weight since before sophmore year of high school) Needless to say, I'm pretty psyched, especially since it seems like a downward trend that's picking up speed again, I'm back on track hooping at least one or two times a week, riding my bike back and forth to work (it's only a half mile or so, but still it's 5 miles on my bike every week) and eating low carb.

Looking forward to getting healthy and living an active lifestyle

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and another bathroom, but it started pouring before I could get pics of all that. The roof at that point hadn't been sealed yet, so rain was coming through at a pretty good rate and I had to retreat.

@Ro, Yes! Everyone is invited to a party once it is finished.

@Gnurd, That's the water treatment, of course. Protects against flooding. Which hopefully won't be a problem since I am on a a little hill and have sewer access (and thus lots of drainage) at he back of my lot.
